Today I have something a little different to share with you. Something that really does represent the name of my blog! As part of Oxfam’s Stop Hunger campaign, they’ve compiled an online cookbook with some fabulous veggie recipes from chefs like Kylie Kwong, Neil Perry, Julie Goodwin and Jude Blereau, and from foodies and bloggers, including one from me.
The recipe book is designed to draw attention to the growing food crisis facing the world’s poorest communities, with the lovely Sri Lankan farmer, Chandrani, as the face of the campaign. After Oxfam and RGNK supplied a water irrigation system to her family, they went from struggling to eat three nutritious meals a day to growing a business that now allows them to sell surplus vegetables to their community, and sending their three children to school.
Stories like Chandrani’s are so inspiring and it just goes to show that with a little help, how easy it is to change people’s lives. I’m very excited to be involved and to contribute in a very small way to such an inspiring organisation. If you’d like to download a copy, or learn more about the campaign, click on the stop hunger link below. You can also win a prize from Oxfam if you cook one of the recipes and send in a photo.
Happy Wednesday everyone, may it be a fabulous one!
Well done, you!!!
Thanks Glenn
